EL REY TOLTECA IN ASHBURN VILLAGE OPENING FRIDAY

The new restaurant brings Mexican cuisine back to the shopping center.

El Rey Tolteca, the new Mexican restaurant in the Ashburn Village shopping center opens its doors to the public on Friday.

The Burn attended a sneak preview dinner Thursday evening that featured a ribbon cutting and traditional dancers. The restaurant’s menu is made up of tacos, burritos, chimichangas, fajitas, fresh guacamole and more.

The brightly colored dining room is punctuated by interesting pieces of art. Open for lunch and dinner, the new El Rey Tolteca will be the second location for the brand. Their original restaurant is on Sudley Road in Manassas.

The opening brings Mexican cuisine back to the shopping center two years after Los Agaves closed, and earlier, Califonia Tortilla.

I keep getting this confused with Los Toltecos in Broadlands!

Lindsey, get the Chanchito Burrito and you’ll never confuse this place again with that travesty of a Mexican joint known as Los Toltecos.
