Sign installed at new Bruster’s Ice Cream location in Ashburn

Owners say the new sweet shop will open soon.

The first sign has gone up on the facade above the new Bruster’s Real Ice Cream location in Ashburn. It’s the first Loudoun location for the popular chain which has locations in more than 20 states.

Sign installers were up in a bucket truck Monday attaching the sign over the new Bruster’s location in the Broadlands Village Center at the intersection of Broadlands Boulevard and Claiborne Parkway. A second sign will be installed soon.

The new ice cream shop is all window service — there is no inside service for customers. To that end, a handful of new tables have been installed on the patio in front of the store.

The owners of the Ashburn Bruster’s location tell The Burn they hope to open soon. They have added extra precautions due to the current coronavirus pandemic, including creating separate windows for where money is exchanged and where ice cream is served. Staff will also be wearing gloves.
