Mark your calendars! Choolaah Indian BBQ, the hot new fast-casual Indian restaurant, is ready to open the doors at its new Cascades Overlook location in Sterling.
The company has announced the grand opening will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, June 2.
Choolaah is making a name for itself with its traditional dishes prepared in barrel-shaped clay ovens (on display behind large glass walls).
Authentic spices are imported from India to use in the cooking. The Choolaah menu includes a wide variety of barbecued meats and veggies, biryanis, bowls, salads and wraps. And there’s fresh-baked naan.
As with most fast-casual brands, customers at Choolaah order at a counter, then take a seat while their meals are prepared.
The Sterling store will be the third Choolaah location. There’s one in Fairfax at the Mosaic District, and one in Orange Village, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland.
