In a blow to the restaurant-centric Cascades Overlook complex in Sterling, one of the center’s signature restaurants has unexpectedly gone out of business. Ocean Blue Island Grill — an upscale seafood and sushi restaurant — announced Sunday morning that it had closed permanently.
Ocean Blue — known both for its food as well as its fish-filled aquariums and conveyor belt sushi — had been a staple of the Cascades Overlook plaza for just over a year. It opened in August 2016.
No word on what went wrong, or what might take over that prime restaurant space which sits next to Burtons Grill, Choolaah Indian BBQ, Colada Shop and other restaurants in the center.
