A new sports bar and restaurant will be coming to Ashburn later this year, taking over the space vacated last fall by Bertucci’s Italian Restaurant. The restaurant is going to be called The Bungalow Alehouse. And if that name sounds familiar, it’s because it’s part of the same restaurant group that operates the Bungalow Lakehouse in Sterling.
We’re told the new restaurant will be a classic American sports bar, featuring pool tables and dart boards, televisions and lots of food and drink specials. There is currently a Bungalow Alehouse in Woodbridge, so we’re assuming it will be similar to that location. Burgers, pizzas, wings, appetizers, sandwiches, pasta, you name it. There’s even a brunch menu for weekends. You can check out this link to see their current menus.
The Bungalow Alehouse is part of a Northern Virginia-based company called The Escape Group of Restaurants. It includes The Bungalow Lakehouse in Sterling, the Bungalow Alehouse in Woodbridge and Bungalow Billiards in Chantilly.
No official word on when The Bungalow Alehouse in Ashburn will open — our sources say a best guesstimate would be sometime this coming fall. The space in the Ashburn Crossroads center — at the busy corner of Ashburn Village Boulevard and Farmwell Road — has been vacant since Bertucci’s closed in September.
Bad move. I give it 2 years tops before closing.
Why do you say that, Lisa? Because it’s not another burger joint or Starbucks? If this place is anything like the Bungalow Lakehouse’s menu, and the atmosphere of Bungalow Billiards in Chantilly, it will do just fine.
Agree. I go to the lakehouse all the time, so this would save me a 15 minute drive each way. Great food and service. I’d go here alot…..
