Quick update on a story we told you about last month…
On a 9-0 vote Thursday evening, the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors approved a plan to build two new drive-thru restaurants in the Lansdowne Town Center shopping and office complex.
The Starbucks in the center will relocate to one of the new drive-thru buildings and the other new building will reportedly become a Chick-Fil-A restaurant.
The two new buildings will be built on empty land on the southwest side of the property along Route 7. Some area residents expressed concerns about increased traffic in the center and on nearby residential streets. Others hope the popular restaurants will bring more potential customers to the center. No word yet on when construction will begin.
Just means more car traffic, less foot traffic. This will hurt the center more than help.
