It looks like we know where Loudoun’s next ALDI grocery store location will be — in a new shopping center next to the Lowe’s home improvement store near Battlefield Parkway and Russell Branch Parkway.
A 22,000 s.f. ALDI store is listed as a leased tenant at the yet-to-be-built Shops at Russell Branch center. The new store will be part of the new shopping center in front of the Leesburg Lowe’s location. There will also reportedly be a Virginia Auto & Tire car repair shop in the center as well. The center plans also call for two restaurant locations, some retail shops and possibly a gas station/convenience store.
ALDI, a German-based grocery store chain, is famous for its low prices and house brands. There’s been one in Sterling for years and an Ashburn location opened in November 2017. The Leesburg location will be the chain’s third store in Loudoun County.
Aldi is the answer to the question: What would it be like if Dollar Tree opened up a grocery store?
This is great news, but any idea on timeframe?
Is the Aldi coming across the street from Lowes right on Battlefield?
Need more restaurants that are not just lunch n dinner..have breakfast also…O’Charleys would be great hv 2 or 3 near Richmond n Fredericksburg…great food n prices…not just more sandwich shops or drive thru…a great asset it would be.
