SNEAK PEEK: BURGERIM OPENS IN BRAMBLETON FRIDAY

It’s the first location in Loudoun for the fast-growing chain.

Burgerim, a fast-growing “sliders” restaurant, is holding a soft opening for its first Loudoun County location on Friday, February 1. The new store is in the former Johnny Rocket’s spot at the Brambleton Town Center, directly across the street from the new public library.

The restaurant specializes in mini-burgers of many different types — regular beef, spicy beef, Wagyu beef, turkey, chicken, salmon, veggie, even chorizo. You also pick from an array of buns, sauces and toppings. They come in boxes of one, two or three with sides that include fries (which are more like cottage fries), sweet potato fries, onions rings and more. They also have wings and chicken strips, salads and desserts. See the full menu here.

One neat feature — a huge screen showing social media posts featuring Burgerim. Not sure how fast it updates, but you could theoretically post a photo of your slider and see it pop up on the restaurant’s giant monitor.

As regular readers of The Burn know, Burgerim is an Israel-based company that got a foothold in California and is now popping up all over the United States. There’s been one in Haymarket for sometime now, and another Burgerim is under construction in Ashburn as well. It’s going into the Ashburn Crossroads center at Ashburn Village Boulevard and Farmwell Road. That’s the same center with Fuddrucker’s, IHOP, Starbucks, Potbelly’s and the coming soon Bungalow Ale House. That Burgerim is expected to open in a few months.

The new Brambleton store is opening “softly” on Friday — that means without a bunch of fanfare so their staff can make sure everything is working smoothly. A grand opening celebration will be scheduled soon.

Why don’t we get some home cooked food and healthy food restaurants in the area at reasonable prices? Too many hamburger restaurants. A wonderful cafeteria would be great!

Aside the awful service, how was the food itself?
