Tenants named for new South Riding shopping center

The center will feature a gas station, a fitness center, a hair salon — and possibly a fast-food restaurant.

A new shopping center is under construction in the South Riding area, south of Highway 50 in southern Loudoun County — and The Burn has the line-up of new tenants who will be moving in.

The shopping plaza is called Community Corner Plaza and it’s coming to the southeast corner of Tall Cedars Parkway and Gum Spring Road. A Van Metre development, the new center will have four buildings.

The tenants include:

  • an Exxon gas station and convenience store
  • Nails at Tiffany & Co.
  • Chiron Physical Therapy
  • CJ Haircuts
  • Burn Boot Camp

There is a final building that isn’t leased at this point. The plans call for the 1,942 s.f. building to have a drive-thru lane and the hope is to get a fast-food restaurant in there. However, there are no firm deals at this point.

The main buildings should be ready in December, at which point the above tenants can start doing their own build-outs. So look for these businesses to come online in early 2020. Meanwhile, the Exxon folks are handling their own construction and construction is just getting underway now, so look for that to open more towards the middle of next year.

So essentially, this is another waste of space for the community?

So you mean to tell me we are getting; an Exxon station which will be across the street from the Exxon station that just opened where Valero used to be, the same hair salon that is just down Tall Cedars in East Gate and another nail salon which we really need. At this rate, why don’t they just use the drive thru space for a drive thru Starbucks. I know it’s whomever signs the lease but this is ridiculous and so disappointing.

Another hair salon? Another nail salon? That seems to indicate that we have too many housewives sitting around with nothing to do. Maybe they could fill their time by getting a job and going to work?
