Bites Wine & Grilled Cheese Bar, the popular grilled cheese restaurant in downtown Leesburg, is opening its second location in Great Falls. Yes, this is a bit out of our coverage area. But we are usually reporting on brands from other parts of NoVa that are expanding into Loudoun County. So we thought it was noteworthy when a homegrown brand starts stepping out.
The new Bites location is at 9900 Georgetown Pike in Great Falls. Its grand opening is tomorrow, Thursday, January 16.
If you’ve never been, Bites has a menu filled with gourmet grilled cheeses. We’re talking sandwiches like the “Oatlands” with Muenster and Gruyere cheeses, diced tomato, arugula, truffle butter, and balsamic drizzle on marble rye bread. Or the “Hamilton” with Gruyere, fontina, and brie cheese with fig spread on cranberry walnut bread. (See the full menu here.)
The Leesburg location is found at 105 South King Street.
We shouldn’t be surprised that Bites is expanding. Its sister restaurant, Señor Ramon Taqueria, also started in downtown Leesburg and has now grown to four locations, including Sterling, Reston and Chantilly.
