A new Korean fried chicken restaurant has opened its doors in Ashburn. Part of a fast-growing nationwide chain, BB.Q Chicken specializes in bone-in fried chicken, chicken wings and chicken tenders.
The Burn first broke the news nearly a year ago about BB.Q chicken coming to the Loudoun Station development off Shellhorn Road. That’s the retail and apartment complex near the future Ashburn Station metro stop. Other tenants there include The Zone, Señor Tequila’s and Famous Toastery.
The menu consists of chicken in various forms, but where the uniqueness comes in is with the toppings and sauces available. We’re talking a Secret Spicy sauce, a Hot Spicy, a Soy Garlic, Honey Garlic, Cheesling — a cheese-type coating, and others.
Other dishes reflect a mix of American and Korean favorites, including Sweet Potato Fries, Kimchi Fried Rice, Cheese Sticks, Fried Dumplings and Pickled Radish. You can see the full BB.Q Chicken menu here.
Today, Monday, December 27, is the official opening day. To start, the staff tells us they will be open noon to 9 p.m., seven days a week.
