Loudoun County is getting its first Mezeh Mediterranean Grill location. The Burn has learned that the growing regional brand has chosen a spot in Leesburg.
A new Mezeh is in the works for the Compass Creek development just off 267 by the Leesburg Airport. That’s according to Peterson Cos., the property’s developer.
Compass Creek is also home to the Walmart store, the At Home store and the ION International Training Center.
Mezeh Mediterranean Grilll was founded in 2012. Today, it has 44 locations open or in the works in five states and DC.
As the name indicates, the menu at Mezeh is Mediterranean in nature. Customers choose a bowl, a pita or a wrap, and then select a base of rice or greens, followed by proteins, toppings and sauces.
The concept is not dissimilar to that of Cava and Roti, two other brands specializing in Mediterranean bowls and pitas. You can see the Mezeh menu below.
Mezeh will be joining Chipotle, Popeyes, Starbucks, Bruster’s Real Ice Cream and other new businesses coming to the Shops at Compass Creek — a row of new retail spaces under construction next to the Walmart store.
I was really hoping this was going to South Riding. Have been asking them to consider a location there for 3 years.
I’mma need an update on this. Looking forward to it! Any idea when it’s due to open?
