Kids in the Sterling area will soon have a new spot where they can pick up important water safety skills and learn to be strong swimmers.
It’s called SafeSplash Swim School and it’s coming to one of the area’s original shopping centers — the Town Center at Sterling at the intersection of Route 7 and Dranesville Road.
SafeSplash offers lessons for kids from infant on up. They also have adult lessons and lessons for swimmers with special needs. They will also have swimming camps and prep courses for athletes on swim teams.
SafeSplash is a national brand and there are locations open or in the works in 27 states and DC, as well as some overseas locations.
Here in Northern Virginia, there are several locations, including another new one planned for the Chantilly area.
According to a representative for the company, if all stays on track, the opening date for the new SafeSplash Swim School in Sterling is March 21.
To clarify one thing, this replaces the old swim school that was at the same location but closed towards the beginning of Covid.
