A new Persian bakery and pastry shop is coming to the heart of Old Ashburn. It will be called Four Season Pastry and feature traditional recipes directly from the owner’s homeland of Iran.
The Burn first reported about Four Season back in March, but we didn’t have any details at the time. Now, a website for Four Season Pastry has gone live and it’s filled with sweet treats.
From familiar items such as Persian baklava, raisin cookies and walnut cookies to exotic sounding items such as Shirini Donmarki (“Danish sweets”) and Zoolbia Bamieh (a sweet, crunchy Iranian fritter), there will be lots of items to try once the bakery opens.
According to the website, the owner has 27 years experience baking sweets, and he is carrying on his father’s legacy by naming the new shop after his father’s bakery in Iran.
The bakery will be located in the new retail and office building that has been built at 20931 Ashburn Road. That’s located between The Wining Butcher and Oxus 7, if you are familiar with those businesses.
No word yet on when Four Seasons will open. A peek in the window shows they are still finishing up construction on the space. We have a message in to the owner for more details.
