If you’ve driven down Route 50 in southern Loudoun recently, you may have noticed a very particular and unique building going up — one with a curved, art deco-style tower on the front. Yes, Loudoun’s latest Silver Diner restaurant is taking shape.
The location is at the Loudoun Crossroads development. That’s at the intersection of Highway 50 and Pleasant Valley Road. It’s very close to the border with neighboring Fairfax.
The Burn first reported on the plans for the restaurant back in January 2022. Work on the vacant parcel of land — the “site work” — took much of last year. That’s when crews prepare the land to build on — adding sewers and underground conduits, grading the earth, and so forth.
Now, the building is going up quickly. The target opening continues to be sometime in this coming summer.
Other tenants scheduled to come to the Loudoun Crossroads include a Popeye’s fried chicken restaurant and a 7-Eleven convenience store and gas station.
