Sterling’s new Lotte Plaza Market unveils food hall eateries

For more than a year, The Burn has been telling you about the new Lotte Plaza Market coming to the Countryside Marketplace in Sterling. It’s a new model for the store — unlike any others in the chain. And now we have new details about the store.

As we’ve reported — one of the features at this new Lotte Plaza Market is the Sijang Eatery — a food hall of sorts inside the supermarket. The photo at the top of this story shows the food hall still under construction.

We knew that Lotte Plaza was negotiating with and/or developing their own Asian food brands — and we’ve reported that the French-Asian bakery chain Tous Les Jours was one of the food purveyors that will be inside the store.

Now, Lotte Plaza has unveiled the other restaurants in the Sijang Eatery. They are:

BB.Q Chicken — an outlet of the fast growing national Korean fried chicken restaurant. There is also a BB.Q Chicken at Loudoun Station in Ashburn.

Yogi K Lover — described as specializing in traditional Korean cuisine.

Bao & Dimsum — Chinese cuisine with traditional Chinese ingredients and cooking techniques.

Sushi Haru — Japanese cuisine with Japanese craftsmanship.

Baro Baro Asian Street Food — specializing in all the most popular Korean street foods.

Luna Tea Bar — high quality teas and fresh fruit beverages.

While no official date for the opening of the Lotte Plaza Market has been released yet, our last word from a company representative was that they were aiming for May. So it’s likely right around the corner. Stay tuned.
