It looks like Loudoun County is getting its first Boot Barn location — a national chain of stores specializing in cowboy boots and other country, western, and outdoors wear.
According to the leasing company, Boot Barn will be moving into a 12,000 s.f. space at the Battlefield Shopping Center in Leesburg.
That’s the same shopping plaza with Dick’s Sporting Goods, DSW Shoe Warehouse, Total Wine, and Michaels near the intersection of Edwards Ferry Road and the Leesburg Bypass.
The landlord is apparently subdividing the large space that used to be the Stein Mart department store.
Boot Barn will take about 1/3 of it and the rest is still available for a future tenant.
Boot Barn was founded in 1978 and now has hundreds of locations across the United States. Here in Northern Virginia, there is store in Woodbridge.
The brand carries clothing and accessories for men, women, and children — much of it geared towards country life and the outdoors.
The deal is brand new, so it’s too soon to know when the future Leesburg Boot Barn might open.
