Large Asian restaurant headed to Sterling shopping center

A new restaurant that will specialize in a variety of Asian cuisines has signed a deal for a large space at a Sterling shopping plaza. It will reportedly be called Running Dish Sushi.

It’s coming to the Sugarland Crossing shopping center off Route 7. That’s the same center with a Lidl grocery store and a Burlington Coat Factory store.

The restaurant will take over two adjacent vacant spaces for a restaurant with more than 10,000 s.f. That’s on the large size for many restaurants.

According to the Commercial Observer, a commercial real estate news site, the restaurant will serve not just sushi, but also hot pot and Korean barbecue.

The owners already have two other sushi restaurants. Their other locations are called Sushi Bomb. There’s one in Pennsylvania and one in Maryland.

We haven’t heard anything about an official opening date yet for the Sterling location, but the Running Dish team was reportedly targeting as soon as late this summer.

This is the second major tenant announced in recent months for the Sugarland Crossing plaza. Back in May, The Burn told you about the huge Painted Tree Boutiques in the work for the center.
