Bkd Bagels adding third location in Loudoun County

Big news in the local bagel scene. Bkd Bagels has announced they are expanding to a third location in early 2024.

The new location will at 500 Fort Evans Road in the Fort Evans Plaza II shopping center. That’s the same center with Walgreens, HomeGoods, and Buffalo Wild Wings.

Bkd Bagels is taking over the 4,000 s.f. space vacated by Dolce & Ciabatta, when that bakery business closed its shop there abruptly in September.

The folks at Bkd are calling it a “strategic expansion.” The new location on Fort Evans Road will have a storefront for customers, but it will also become the primary bagel baking facility for the three Bkd locations in Loudoun County.

This central baking facility will allow Bkd to make a consistent and uniform product for all three stores and they also say it will allow them to add additional flavors and products.

They will also be able to bake more in general, helping avoid sell-outs, plus they will continue to grow their catering business from the new location. You can check out the full Bkd Bagels menu here.

Bkd Bagels currently has a location in Leesburg on South King Street and another in Purcellville at the Purcellville Gateway shopping plaza.

Right now, the Bkd team is aiming for an April opening for the Fort Evans store. When ready, customers should find indoor and outdoor seating and a full coffee bar along with Bkd’s full bagel line-up.
