Things are really starting to roll at the new indoor pickleball facility coming to the Village at Leesburg. The first window signs at Village Pickle have gone up on the exterior and we have artist renderings of what the inside will look like.
Outside, window clings now cover the windows of the space and feature cheeky promotional comments such as “Dink responsibly” and “We keep players out of the kitchen.” “Dinking” and “kitchen” are terms from the sport of pickleball.
Inside, renderings show how the pickleball courts will be set up, with four courts initially and a separate welcome desk and lounge area.
As The Burn first reported earlier this month, the plans call for Village Pickle to add four additional courts this coming summer as the facility expands into the vacant space next door. All told, Village Pickle will eventually cover nearly 24,000 s.f. of floor space.
When it opens, Village Pickle will be the first dedicated indoor pickleball center in Loudoun County.
The facility will also offer food and drink with its own Village Pickle menu created by the independent chefs from The Dell Food & Brew Hall down the street. The Burn has also learned that a special Village Pickle beer is being brewed by the team at The Dell.
We’re told construction continues on schedule and the current plan calls for Village Pickle to open to the public in mid-January.
Founding memberships to Village Pickle are still available. While its not a requirement to be a member, members will have special access and privileges including:
- Member only events
- Unlimited drop-in play any time
- Unlimited scheduled play, when scheduled less than 6 days in advance
- Early-bird access to lessons, clinics, round robins, and leagues
