Manna Pottery studio opening this weekend in Sterling

A new pottery studio and art gallery will be celebrating its grand opening in Sterling this weekend. It’s called Manna Pottery and it opens Saturday, February 10.

Manna is coming to the Countryside Marketplace shopping center, just off Route 7 at Countryside Boulevard.

That’s the center anchored by the new Lotte Plaza Market grocery store as well as a McDonald’s and a Starbucks among many other restaurants and retail stores.

The Burn first reported on plans for the pottery studio last October. Since then, the owner has been getting everything prepared for his first brick-and-mortar storefront.

Manna Pottery will feature classes where people can learn to paint pottery and kitchen tiles in beautiful intricate patterns. The studio will also offer lessons on throwing pottery on a pottery wheel.

The space will also feature a gallery of artisan pottery available for sale and it can be used to host pottery parties and events.

According to the studio’s website, artist Rezgar Mamandi was raised in the Kurdistan area of Iraq and uses painting techniques with his pottery and tiles that date back centuries.
