Hopefully the second time is the charm. The new Efesus Cafe is Ashburn is ready to open its doors tomorrow, Tuesday, February 13.
That’s according to a social media post the restaurant made Sunday night. “We are delighted to announce the opening of Efesus Mediterranean Cafe in Ashburn on Tuesday,” the announcement read in part. “Our doors will open to a world of authentic Mediterranean flavors, where every dish tells a story of tradition and culinary excellence.”
We say “second time’s a charm” because the restaurant had originally planned on opening in early January, but delays popped up and postponed the big day.
Efesus is located just off Ashburn Road in the Old Ashburn neighborhood. It has taken over the spot vacated by Oxus 7, a much-admired Turkish restaurant that was there previously.
The menu at the restaurant is heavily focused on Turkish dishes, just like its predecessor, so fans of the cuisine’s flavors may find new favorites.
Dishes at Efesus include exotic sounding options such as Begendili Spicy Chicken, sautéed Albanian Liver, Sac Tava, and traditional Yayla Soup. You can see the full Efesus menu here.
