A new retail shop is coming to downtown Leesburg — and it’s got several sister shops right nearby. We’re talking about Middleburg-based Crème de la Crème.
The store — which specializes in French and Italian-inspired tableware, home goods, and gifts — is taking a spot at 27 South King Street, the parent company West Federal Retail announced today.
This will be the fifth location for Crème de la Crème. They already have locations in Middleburg, Frederick Md., Richmond, and one opening soon in Alexandria.
They previously had a Crème de la Crème location a few doors away from the new spot. That location closed about eight years ago, so this new store marks a return to downtown Leesburg.
Besides the Crème de la Crème brand, West Federal also operates other boutiques under brands such as Lou Lou, Zest, and Brick and Mortar. There are already Zest and Brick and Mortar stores in downtown Leesburg.
“We have always loved the historic building at 27 South King and when we heard it would come available, we did not have to think long,” said Tara Wegdam, one of the owners of West Federal. “It is the perfect setting for a Crème de la Crème.”
The current target is to have the new Leesburg Crème de la Crème store open by early June.
