Blackfinn Ameripub closes permanently in Ashburn

The Blackfinn Ameripub restaurant in Ashburn has closed its doors for good. The move has been anticipated for months now.

A sign that went up in the past few days reads, in part: “Unfortunately, today will be out last day in business. We want to thank you for supporting us through the years. It was a fun ride, and we owe all the good times to you.”

Blackfinn opened in Ashburn’s Loudoun Station center off Shellhorn Road in the summer of 2016. There is another location in DC that we believe is still operating.

We say the closure was anticipated because he landlord has been actively marketing the space for months now, seeking a new tenant to take it over. No word at this juncture if anyone has been signed.

The loss of Blackfinn is a second blow to the center after the abrupt closure of The Zone, a kids entertainment venue, last September. The Zone closed after the owner unfortunately passed away.

Current restaurant tenants at Loudoun Station include Kung Fu Tea, Burger 21, BB.Q Chicken, Famous Toastery, and Señor Tequila’s.
