The new Route 7 Brewing coming to Loudoun County is making major progress and The Burn finally has more details — and some photos — to share about this exciting new project.
Route 7 is located at the Lexington 7 commercial center on the north side of Route 7. That’s right next door to the center with the Texas Roadhouse restaurant, a Sheetz gas station and a Burger King, and the former Oak Health Club, now known as Method Health Club.
The operators admit they have hit some delays along the way — including an unexpected traffic accident.
Last December, brewing equipment such as fermenters and serving tanks were being delivered from the factory in British Columbia when the truck slipped off the road and crashed into a ditch. The equipment was all badly damaged, so an order for completely new equipment had to be submitted.
The good news is that’s all in the past and the brewing process is getting underway. Route 7 has hired Eric Peterson as its head brewer. Peterson previously worked with House 6 Brewing in Ashburn, and Beltway Brewing before that.
We’re told that Route 7 Brewing will have a focus on traditional beer styles such as lagers, marzens, and saisons. They will also be brewing hazy IPAs, west coast IPAs, and amber ales.
Besides the beers, there is also a full kitchen at the Route 7 Brewing tasting room and a menu is currently being developed. It will be tapas style and feature a mixture of Indian fusion, American favorites, and Latin American dishes.
There is a long bar on the main level as well as tables. Big garage doors can be opened leading out to a large patio with more tables and chairs.
There is also a mezzanine level that will be used for parties and corporate events.
Right now, Route 7 is targeting an opening sometime in August if everything stays on schedule.
