It sounds like another Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant is in the works for Loudoun County — only this latest location will have a new twist to it.
The Burn has learned that plans are afoot to bring a Buffalo Wild Wings GO restaurant to eastern Sterling. The GO concept is carry out and delivery only. In other words — no dining room, no sit down service, etc.
According to documents filed with the county, the new Buffalo Wild Wings GO will be built in the Clock Tower Center off Route 7 in Sterling.
Ever since the pandemic, lots of restaurant brands have been looking at ways to expand their carry out and delivery business. One way is to lease smaller spaces with room for just a kitchen and a small customer area at the front.
Panera Bread recently opened a small Panera Bread to Go location in Chantilly off Route 50, with the same kind of set-up.
The new Buffalo Wild Wings GO is still in the application phase at this point, so no word on when it might open. But considering the small footprint and simpler operations of the new store, once construction starts, it should move fast.
