Lots of folks in the southeastern part of Loudoun County have been wondering about the plans for a new taco restaurant that is purportedly coming to the East Gate Marketplace shopping center off Highway 50.
Back in January, regular readers may recall that we reported about Taco Express. The landlord had announced the taco shop was taking a small, roughly 1,300 s.f. spot near the Velocity Wings and Social House restaurants.
Well, flash forward six months — and we still don’t know much more — but it does appear the name has changed.
Documents are working their way through the county permitting system that say the restaurant will be called Recalde’s Tex Mex Restaurant.
We’ve tried to get ahold of the folks bringing the new restaurant to East Gate in order to get more details, but haven’t reached anyone yet.
Meanwhile, a peek through the windows shows that while some work may have started, there’s still a lot of construction ahead of them to get it restaurant ready.
