A dessert shop specializing in fish-shaped waffles stuffed with sweet fillings is expanding — and its next stop is going to be in Chantilly.
The Burn has learned that Rice Culture is planning a new location in the Chantilly Crossing shopping center.
That’s the retail area anchored by a Costco, a Target, and a Lidl grocery store just a short drive down the road for folks in the South Riding area.
Rice Culture is taking a 1,600 s.f. space in the same building that is home to Chipotle, Sushi Queen, Potbelly, and Roaming Rooster.
Regular readers will recall that The Burn first reported on Rice Culture last September when the brand was getting ready to open its first store in Vienna.
Rice Culture is likely a familiar name to some Loudoun County residents due to the company’s regular appearances at the EatLoco Farmers Market near One Loudoun.
The menu at Rice Culture is filled with taiyakis, a Japanese street food that is basically a fish shaped waffle stuffed with a filling.
