Plans for a new Shell service station and associated convenience store in Ashburn continue to move slowly through the county’s permitting system.
Way back in 2021, The Burn reported that a gas station was under consideration for a corner spot in the Lakeview Center Plaza. In 2023, we updated our report when we learned that it was a Shell station that was in the works.
The specific spot is at the confluence of Riverside Parkway, Loudoun County Parkway, and George Washington Boulevard on the north side of Route 7.
To help you better geolocate that, it’s the same development with the DC Prime restaurant is as well as a SpringHill Suites hotel.
The developers are requesting a special exception to build the service station there. According to county records, a public hearing on the proposal is scheduled for September.
