Burlington (Coat Factory) planning new Leesburg store

It looks like the well-known apparel retailer Burlington (formerly known as Burlington Coat Factory) will be adding its second Loudoun County location with a new Leesburg store.

The Burn has learned that Burlington is planning on taking the former Big Lots store space at the Battlefield Shopping Center off Edwards Ferry Road NE. Big Lots closed back in March.

The new store will be roughly 25,000 s.f. tucked into a large corner unit in the center with dozens of aisles and shelves filled with bargain priced clothing along with home decor and gift items.

The former Big Lots space is slated to become a Burlington store.

The brand has more than 1,000 locations including one over in the Sugarland Crossing shopping center in Sterling.

The news that Burlington is coming to the Battlefield Shopping Center in Leesburg is just the latest in a slew of major retailers announced for that center.

Other stores on their way there include a Petco, a Boot Barn, a Sprouts grocery store, plus a Wingstop restaurant.
