Loudoun’s latest Sheetz aiming for September opening

A new Sheetz gas station and convenience store coming to Loudoun County is reportedly aiming for an early September opening if all goes smoothly. That’s according to a rep for the company.

The new location is being built in southern Loudoun near the intersection of Gum Spring Road and Braddock Road. The development is called Whitman Farm and it’s the same spot with the new Dunkin’ doughnut shop.

Great progress has already been made. The building that will house the convenience store is up and the framing for the canopy over the future gas pumps is up as well.

As the gas station business evolves, more and more brands are following the Sheetz model and adding a larger selection of grab-and-go products as well as having on-site restaurants with extensive menus.

Besides Sheetz, Loudoun County is also home to similar concepts such as Wawa, The Filling Co., Dash-In, Royal Farms, and the latest local entrant — Gastro High Octane Eats.
