Big Kyle BBQ headed to Gilberts Corner in Loudoun

Well, that didn’t take long. No sooner had news broke that The Pit Stop barbecue brand was giving up its spot at Gilberts Corner in Loudoun County then we got the news that there was already a replacement.

Kyle Norris of Big Kyle BBQ confirms he and his team will be setting up a weekend barbecue station at the location starting this coming weekend, July 13 and 14.

Gilberts Corner is the rural intersection where Highways 15 and 50 meet south of Leesburg and northwest of South Riding. Each weekend, a farmers market pops up there with all types of vendors selling their goods.

The Pit Stop had been the barbecue provider at Gilberts Corner for 17 years, but last weekend was their last as they focus on their brick-and-mortar locations.

So Big Kyle BBQ is stepping in to fill the spot. They will have tents and smokers and be serving up ribs, brisket, pulled pork, mac and cheese, bacon beans, and cole slaw.

There will also be weekly specials featuring dishes such as pork belly burnt ends and Jamaican spatchcock chicken.

Big Kyle plans on being at Gilberts Corner each Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The brand is already well known for its presence at other farmers markets in the area, including the ones at Ashbrook and Brambleton in Ashburn. Big Kyle’s commercial kitchen space is at Chefscape in Leesburg.
