Loudoun Soccer’s “Micro” program for 3-year-olds promotes fun, self-confidence

The word “micros” might imply something small — but the benefits of Loudoun Soccer’s Micros Program are huge. Their entry-level soccer program reflects an important part of the Club’s grander mission to “Develop Champions for Life.”

Led by professional trainers adept at working with the youngest players, the Loudoun Soccer  “Micros” program caters specifically to 3 year-olds (entering kindergarten in 2027).

The 7-week, 45-minute sessions, which start right after Labor Day, emphasize a fun environment that helps kids develop self-confidence and the social skills needed to interact in a team environment. That’s on top of all the benefits associated with physical activity.

“Our trainers cater to kids’ needs and abilities by rooting soccer instruction within the context of games and activities that children this age will enjoy,” said Mack Brodie, Micro Program Manager. “We focus on the self-confidence and interpersonal skills that are important in all areas of life. Adding soccer skills and exercise offers kids a well-rounded experience.”

Because no volunteer coaches are utilized at this level, parents can sit back and enjoy the excitement taking place on the pitch. Parents can choose from convenient locations in Ashburn, Brambleton, Leesburg, Purcellville, South Riding, and Sterling.

The modest introductory $50 fee (which includes a Loudoun Soccer jersey) makes the program a low-risk, high-benefit option for soccer beginners.
