(UPDATED 7-31-24) Well, that didn’t take long. It was just last week that The Burn reported how the Skyzone indoor trampoline park in Sterling was going to be moving locations. Now, the Sterling park has shut down — effective yesterday — Sunday, July 21.
An announcement on social media reads, in part: “Thank you so much for all the years of leaps and laughs – but it’s not goodbye, it’s see you again soon. We are looking for a new home and can’t wait to welcome you into our new location to keep the good times rolling.”
A spokesperson told The Burn that the lease for the location in the Cascades Marketplace center ended and went on to add: “Those looking to enjoy more fun and everything Sky Zone has to offer are welcome at our other local parks including Manassas, Springfield and Gaithersburg as we finalize the search for our new location.”
While no one has said it officially, the departure of Skyzone has likely been precipitated by the shopping center’s announced plans to turn the section where the trampoline park is located into residential housing. It’s part of a major overhaul underway at the center.
We’ll keep you posted on the Skyzone’s new location when they lock down their plans.
