A new doughnut shop is headed to Northern Virginia. It’s called The Salty Donut and it will be the first location in the commonwealth for the growing brand.
The Salty Donut is taking a roughly 3,200 s.f. space in the Mosaic District in Fairfax. The spot was previously a pet supplies store.
The company got its start in 2015 selling doughnuts out of a camper in a trendy Miami neighborhood. It has since expanded to 21 locations open or in the works.
The menu at The Salty —as it’s called colloquially — includes such doughnut marvels as a White Chocolate Tres Leches, a Whipped Nutella Crunch, a Brown Butter & Salt, and a Blueberry Crumb Cake. You can check out the sweet line-up at the Miami stores here.
No word yet on when The Salty Donut in Fairfax will open nor if they are pursuing other locations in NoVa.
