Reston’s new Kook Dogg Cafe opens its doors

Describing itself as “a cozy and modern restaurant with laid-back charm,” the new Kook Dogg Cafe has opened for business in the Reston Town Center West business and retail center.

RTC West is the same spot off Sunset Hills Road with the Cooper’s Hawk restaurant, the Bombay Velvet Indian restaurant, and the Tiki Thai restaurant.

Kook Dogg has taken the spot that was previously the Little Beast Bistro. That restaurant closed last December.

The newly unveiled menu at Kook Dogg Cafe includes sharing plates such as the Sticky Icky Ribs, a Chesapeake Crab Dip, and Aunt Susan’s Stuff Jalapeños.

So far, the main focus of the menu is on sandwiches and pizzas. There are 30 curated sandwiches include the Mother Clucker, the Porkalicioius, the Stallone, and the Dewey Surf N Turf.

Pizzas include the East of Maui, the Feeling Blue, and the Papa Smurf. That last one has BBQ chicken and lots of onions. There are also build-your-own pizza and sandwich options.

The menu is rounded out with soups, salads, pastas, and desserts. Plus there is a section that says entrées are coming soon. You can see the main Kook Dogg Cafe food menu below and the cocktail, dessert, and kids menus here.
