Jamun New Zealand ice cream opens at Dulles Town Center

A new and unique ice cream stand has officially opened in the food court at the Dulles Town Center mall. It’s called Jamun.

The Burn first told you about Jamun back in June. It has taken over the former Ben & Jerry’s kiosk in the food court.

Jamun is a new brand debuting here in Loudoun County. The name is a word that is related both to gulab jamun, a popular Indian dessert as well as a type of plum found in India.

New Zealand style soft serve features ice cream mixed with fresh or fresh-frozen fruit in a special machine that then blends the two together and produces a smooth, fruit-flavored soft serve type ice cream.

This reportedly creates a dessert with an ultra-creamy texture.

Flavors on the Jamun menu include staples such as vanilla and chocolate as well as ones like cookie monster, cake batter, spiced chai, rose petal, and pistachio.

Toppings include drizzles such as caramel, kiki, and mango, plus sprinkles, honeycomb toffee, coconut, and more. You can see the full Jamun menu here.
