There will soon be no more “Red Robin… Yummmm” in Ashburn. That’s because the longtime Red Robin restaurant is reportedly closing its doors this weekend.
Staff members have told customers that they were just given the news today — the restaurant’s last day will be this Sunday. The Burn confirmed the news with a staff member as well.
The restaurant — located next to the Shoppes at Ryan Park shopping center — is a staple of the local dining scene. It originally opened more than 15 years ago.
It’s the latest example of a longtime national chain closing locations in the area. Earlier this year, the Bonefish Grill in Ashburn shuttered after roughly 19 years in business. Over in Reston, the Carrabba’s Italian Grill closed after more than two decades.
Obviously, the closure news is brand new, so there’s no word yet if another tenant is lined up for the Red Robin building or who might eventually take over that location.
