New restaurant, boutique hotel coming to downtown Leesburg

There is a major construction project underway in downtown Leesburg — one that will bring a new restaurant, two new bars, a boutique hotel, and a private social club to the community.

We will walk you through the various elements of the major development this is going up at 208 South King Street.

That address has a historic home on the property built in 1885 and it will be preserved and become the centerpiece of the project.

Behind it, an old attached office building has been razed and a new four-story building with rooftop deck is going up.

Hotel Burg is the boutique hotel part of the project. It will have 39 rooms including seven suites.

Huntōn — pronounced “hunt on” — is the restaurant portion of the development. It will have 70 seats inside, plus 42 more on an outside patio.

The menu is expected to be upscale “local” fare and will be developed by the same team behind the much-loved nearby restaurant The Wine Kitchen.

There will also be a bar in the restaurant and a separate bar in the lobby of the hotel.

Tucked away inside the project, there will also be The Chase — a private social club. The club will include specialty access to the hotel and restaurant, a private speakeasy with 56 wine lockers and 25 humidors.

Members will also have access to an onsite gym, a 4,000 s.f. social and co-working space, and a 2,500 s.f. rooftop deck with views of the mountains of the distance.

All total, the project clocks in at roughly 34,000 s.f.

There is a fourth component to the project as well — The Manor 1858 — a new event venue located off Highway 15 about seven miles south of Leesburg. It includes a renovated stone barn with seating for 150 as well as an 8-bedroom manor house that sleeps 16.

Besides hosting weddings and parties, there will also be special events at The Manor 1858 year around for members of The Chase social club.

The project is the brainchild of the folks at Madison Dale, a development firm based in Ashburn.

Owners Kevin and Remington Ash say they are looking to bring something with personality to downtown Leesburg, as well as something that is upscale and timeless.

They are looking to open in August 2025 and will start taking reservations in the new year.
