The folks behind many of the area’s farmers markets have a new venture up their sleeves — a giant “Open Air Market” that will take place at the Dulles Town Center shopping mall in Sterling.
EatLoco has announced that the new weekly event will be more than just a farmers market, bringing in not only local food purveyors but also vendors of other locally made products.
They anticipate that hundreds of area businesses will participate.
“While we’ll continue to feature our amazing farmers and food producers, this new market goes beyond just food,” the announcement read. “EatLoco’s Open Air Market at Dulles Town Center will provide a unique space for all types of businesses to thrive, from artisans and crafters to start-ups and local service providers.”
The Open Air Market is scheduled to launch next March in the parking lot that surrounds the mall. There are reportedly 7,500 parking spaces and thus plenty of room for vendors and visitors alike.
The market will be held every Sunday and EatLoco will begin taking applications from interested vendors starting February 1, 2025.
As regular readers know, this is just the latest news coming out of the Dulles Town Center as its new owner — Srinivas Chavali — works to bring in new tenants and reinvigorate the struggling center.
The mall has already added a large furniture, an escape room, and several other stores and restaurants.
And — as we’ve reported — soon Sky Zone Trampoline Park and 810 Billiards & Bowling will be joining the center as well.
