Fortunoff Backyard Store opens its doors in Sterling

A new showroom specializing in backyard and patio furniture quietly opened its doors this week in Sterling. It’s the new Fortunoff Backyard Store — the first location for the brand in Loudoun County.

Fortunoff can be found in the Sugarland Crossing shopping center. That’s off Route 7 in the same center with the big Burlington store and the JoAnn Fabric store.

The brand has recently made an aggressive move into Northern Virginia with locations already open in Falls Church and Woodbridge. Sterling is the third store to open in the region.

Chaise lounges, dining tables, umbrellas, lighting fixtures, heating towers, and more are all part of the wares at Fortunoff.

The brand’s history dates back to 1922 when Max & Clara Fortunoff hauled a pushcart laden with pots and pans through the streets of New York City.

The Burn first reported on plans for the Sterling store back in February.
