New indoor-outdoor children’s play land coming to Loudoun

A new indoor/outdoor play land for children is headed to Loudoun County. It will be called Wonder Learning & Discovery.

According to the Wonder website, it will be opening at 16 West Market Street in downtown Leesburg.

“Wonder is a curated learning and discovery experience that is both educational and mind-shaping, bringing together parents and children through joyful play,” the site reads. “The wonder experience fuses together the dynamic needs of both parents and children, through fun and interactive play stations, worktables, open play areas, and hands-on, expert-led learning opportunities.”

The new playland is the brainchild of two area moms who say they saw a need in the community.

“With four kiddos between us, all under the age of six — we were craving a safe, engaging, and fun place for our littles to play — so we decided to create it,” wrote Ashley Brush, one of the owners, on social media.

Wonder Learning & Discovery is not a daycare — parents or caregivers must stay with their children. Rather it’s a place for fun and learning together.

The target age range is 1 to 6, but older kids are welcome too.

An opening date hasn’t been announced yet, but the most recent word from the owners is that they were hoping it would be somewhere around Halloween.

The news is reminiscent of another new business coming to the area over in Ashburn. As reported by The Burn back in July, Play Street Museum — a national children’s play land franchise — is opening in the Ashburn Village Shopping Center.
