Loudoun’s newest Burlington store opens this week

Another day, another new store opening announced in Leesburg. It’s been an abundance of riches lately for the community.

The latest is the new Burlington store — still known in some circles by its former name — Burlington Coat Factory. Opening day is scheduled for this Friday, October 18.

In Leesburg, Burlington is opening in the Battlefield Shopping Center in a roughly 25,000 s.f. space that used to be the Big Lots store.

Big Lots only closed this past spring and crews have worked quickly to turn it into a Burlington store — still known for coats, but also for other apparel, home decor, holiday decorations, and more.

This is the second Burlington store in Loudoun County. There has been a longtime Burlington location in the Sugarland Crossing shopping center in Sterling.

The opening falls at the same time that Leesburg’s new Hallmark store is opening, as well as the Sprouts Farmers Market and the town’s first Trader Joe’s.
