It’s gonna be a big time for biryani soon in the Ashburn area. Apparently, the restaurant Biryani Grill isn’t just opening one new store in Ashburn. Rather, they are opening two new locations in the coming months.

It was just this past Monday that The Burn reported that Biryani Grill was taking over the former Red Robin space by the Shoppes at Ryan Park retail center in Ashburn.
Permits were being pulled and the exterior has already gotten a paint job.
So, imagine our surprise when the Brambleton community today announced that Biryani Grill was also opening a new location at the Brambleton Corner Plaza center at Evergreen Mills Road and Northstar Boulevard.
The announcement said the restaurant in Brambleton would go by the name BG B-B-Q Indian Cuisine & Bar — apparently short for Biryani Grill BBQ.
It’s going into a roughly 3,100 s.f. space next door to the upcoming Bkd Bagels shop.
Two new Biryani Grill locations — both in the Ashburn area and both coming to light just days apart. Sure enough — it’s true. We spoke with one of the owners — Venkat Chinta — who confirmed the plans.
Biryani Grill is a local brand that currently has one location at the Stone Ridge Village Center in southern Loudoun off Highway 50.
The menu at Biryani Grill specializes in biryani, of course. It’s an Indian dish made of seasoned rice cooked with meat, fish, or vegetables. But they have many other Indian dishes on the menu as well.
Earlier this summer, we reported that the restaurant was actively pursuing a new location in Ashburn — but we didn’t realize they were pursuing two locations.
The hope is to have the former Red Robin location open by the end of the year. There’s no firm timeline yet on the new Brambleton spot.
