A new Mexican restaurant coming to the Lovettsville community is ready to roll. El Pitayo has officially set its opening date as tomorrow — Saturday, October 26.
The restaurant can be found in the Town Commons development near the Lovettsville Co-Op Market.
We knew El Pitayo was getting close — and it was just last week that we shared a first look at the extensive menu with readers. You can see that report here.
“Come by and enjoy authentic Mexican street tacos, fresh guacamole and queso (and) flavor-packed dishes like Mole Poblano, Sizzling Fajitas, Arroz Norteño, and more,” the restaurant posted on social media.
When they open at 11 a.m. Saturday, it will be what’s called a soft opening — a chance for the staff to get their feet wet and make sure all their systems are working correctly.
The restaurant is also still waiting on its ABC liquor license, so no margaritas and Coronas quite yet. Soon, but not tomorrow.
