Today was the big day for Loudoun County folks eager to have a Sprouts Farmers Market store to call their own. The new store in Leesburg’s Battlefield Shopping Center opened this morning.
Shoppers gathered with town officials and the Sprouts team at the ungodly hour of 6:15 a.m. for the grand opening event which included a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

The store features an open layout with a focus on fresh produce. Many of the products carried are organic, gluten-free, plant-based or otherwise “healthy” in some way.

“Sprouts offers fresh seasonal produce, custom-cut meats, vitamins and supplements, ready-to-eat meals, dietary options such as gluten-free or paleo, and thousands of other natural, organic, non-GMO, vegan and plant-based products,” said Sprouts director Tina Kim-Torres in a press release. “We can’t wait for our Leesburg neighbors to see the new store.”
It’s been a big week for grocery shoppers in the Leesburg area. The town’s first Trader Joe’s store opened on Tuesday.
