A new afterschool tutoring center has signed on for a new spot in Leesburg. A Gideon Math & Reading Center is coming to the Marketplace at Potomac Station.
That’s the same shopping center off Battlefield Parkway NE with the Giant grocery store, the Arby’s drive-thru and the First Watch restaurant.
Gideon will take a 1,200 s.f. spot tucked in between the SwimKids Swim School and The UPS Store.
Gideon is a growing national brand offering help in math and reading primarily for students ages 4 to 12. There are locations in Texas, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, as well as several here in Northern Virginia.
Marketplace at Potomac Station is also supposed to be the home of a new Dunkin’ doughnut shop on the spot where a vacant bank building currently sits.
But we first reported that news in early 2023 and — so far — there’s no sign of any movement on that project.
