The new Qdoba Mexican Eats restaurant coming to Loudoun County is one step closer to reality now that work has started on the space that will house the eatery.
The Burn broke the news about Qdoba coming to Ashburn back in August. It’s taking the former Sweet Frog froyo shop at the Ashbrook Commons shopping center.
That’s the center with the Harris Teeter, the Party Depot, and the Wendy’s near the intersection of Ashburn Village Boulevard and Route 7.
Construction crews have started working inside the space.
They are currently taking down walls and features from the Sweet Frog store and will be putting in new walls, as well as plumbing, electrical and other mechanical fixtures needed by the future Qdoba.
While Qdoba has more than 750 locations in North America, including several here in Northern Virginia, the Ashburn store will be the first in Loudoun County.
