You’re not alone in wondering, Alexandra. We got this question from several readers recently. A huge swath of land has been cleared and is being graded and made ready for buildings.
The activity has drawn the attention of lots of folks passing by.
It looks like it’s going to be a new residential development called the Brickyard. That’s based on permits and documents posted at the site.
We didn’t find any updated info on the Brickyard plans, but back in 2018 when the Town Council approved the project, there were going to be 59 units built.
One interesting part of the plan was that at least some of the units were going to have office or commercial space on the ground floor with the residential units above them.
Local residents can at least breathe easy knowing its not a data center going up in their backyards.
