Shotted Coffee holds grand opening this week in Loudoun

The new Shotted Specialty Coffee shop coming to Loudoun County has announced that its grand opening will be this coming Friday, November 8. They have already started a soft opening and busy brewing.

The new Saudi Arabian-style coffee shop has set up shop in the food court at the Dulles Town Center shopping mall in Sterling.

As The Burn first reported back in August, Shotted has taken over the spot in the food court that was previously the home to the Village Cupcake Co.

Shotted already has two locations over in Fairfax County — one is in the Tysons Corner Center shopping mall and the other is in the nearby Tysons Galleria mall.

The grand opening starts at 6 p.m. “Join us for an evening of community,” the Shotted team posted on social media. “During the special evening, we’re offering 50 complimentary drinks for our first 50 guests, exclusive Shotted merch (first come, first served), and warm Saudi hospitality with complimentary Saudi coffee and dates for everyone.”

The new Shotted reflects a trend we are seeing across Northern Virginia of coffee houses specializing in coffees and noshes from the Arab world.

Besides Shotted, other brands are popping up, including Qamaria Yemeni Coffee Co., and Filli Cafe — a brand from the United Arab Emirates.
